Lucien Robert (1926-2014)

#alttext#The French and French-American community in Boston lost a major figure last February 20. Not only was his French restaurant, Maison Robert, the finest in Boston for four decades, but he warmly and generously brought French, French teachers, and francophiles together at his Table française. We could enjoy the French atmosphere and the French food almost as if we were in France.

He continued to bring people together by founding and being president of the New England chapter of the Union des Français de l’Étranger for many years.

A memorial service will be held on March 31 at 2 p.m. at the Fuller Building at Boston University.
